I'll be trying to post more.

On October 20th my father passed away from cancer. I will be remaining in Massachusetts for a little while to help my mom, and assist in settling dad's estate. During this time I will try to post any relevant information I receive that could help Grand Canyon hikers plan and execute their forays into yon canyon. Thanks to all who have responded during these trying times.

Hello, I'm sooo sorry to hear about your father and hoping you are coping well. The reason I'm reaching out to you is I'm in need of help from someone who hikes in the Sedona area. We were at the West Fork hike on Monday, Nov 9th and my 10 yr old daughter lost her camera. The most tragic thing is what was on it. While we were in Arizona, my husband was moving us out of our house in Illinois. My daughter had taken lots of photos of the trees and house that she grew up in and now she's devasted. She did this the day before we left so I hadn't yet transferred them. Plus, my husband lost his job and thus cell phone on Nov 1st, and that cell number was the number I had on the phone. If you or anyone reading this happens to go out to that trail, we only went from the trailhead to the cave to the water with the red rock wall and back again. If anyone finds a Canon Powershot camera with the name Callie Gorney on the bottom, could you please e-mail us at gorney4@yahoo.com. Thank you. And again, my sympathy and prayers go out to you and your family in this sad time.
